Jesus Christ is Supreme and Worthy of Praise
"Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, He has spoken to us through his Son [Jesus Christ]. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son He created the universe. The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and He sustains everything by the mighty power of His command. When He had cleansed us from our sins, He sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.
This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave Him is greater than their names. For God never said to any angel what He said to Jesus: 'I will be His Father, and He will be my Son.' Let all of God’s angels worship Him.
To the Son God also says, 'Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice. In the beginning, Lord, You [Jesus Christ] laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with Your hands." Hebrews 1:1-5, 6, 8, 10
"Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through Him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see ... Everything was created through Him and for Him. He existed before anything else, and He holds all creation together."
Colossians 1:15-17
"In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He (Christ) existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through Him, and nothing was created except through Him. (Christ)"
John 1:1-3
"O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens. When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers- the moon and the stars you set in place- what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?" Psalm 8: 1, 3-4
All of creation speaks of the majesty of God. The purpose of everything since the creation of the universe has been to point to the life, identity, and Person of Jesus Christ.
